 Code:
(Ksat): Moderately high to high (0.60 to 2.00 in/hr)
Depth to water table: About 24 to 36 inches

Can anyone enlighten me a bit on what the Ksat numbers above mean to me. Considering an excavated pond.

The water table shown above is fine and if it stayed there then no worries but I think during the summer the table drops significantly. Is .60-2.oo something that looks as bad as my uneducated mind says it is?

If you were building a pond with a dam it would be bad because the seepage rate is high. Since your pond will be in the water table that sounds like a good thing. As long as you build the pond with changing water levels in mind you will be fine.

I looked up the soil information online and it says 2 to 3 foot water table. But it also says that the water table is over 76 inches (>200cm) for much of the year which is as high as the numbers go!

Is it common in the Southeast for the water table to fluctuate like that. If I get a over 3 foot fluctuation I think my pond is sunk.

Also here is some other info.

Cutbanks cave (0.50)
Slow refill (0.28)
Depth to saturated zone (0.06)
