It's come to my attention pratically everyone received a Pond Boss apron at the conference. I, however, did not. Sure, some of you might point out the fact that anyone who is still sleeping at Noon gets what he deserves - but those of you are simply wrong.

As a result, I have enlisted the assistance of a "bandolero" with who accidently walked away with a table centerpiece from the Tex Mex dinner night. I have since paid handsomely to secure it's wellbeing, and the sombrero may or may not be present at the conference in 2010.

Suffice it to say, I'm disappointed in myself for sleeping in - and only doing this for my own good.

TJ - I'll trade you an apron for the sombrero! I have an extra apron I can send you!

Sue, that's awfully nice of you to offer, but I'm still pouting. Also, I've been fishing in it a few times and am growing rather attached to it.

Seriously, I wanted a nice momento from the Conference that might be used as an auction item down the road. I knew these were headed for the dumpster after our dinner...and my only option was clear.

Late nights chasing skunks beneath my tables and sturgeon wrasslin into the wee morning hours will render one a little foggy at 7 bells...back to sleep for me - it was the first vacation I'd had in well over a year.
