Here are some pics of the CNBG stocking at FarmerRick’s .

Here is the story.

We bought a property about a year ago that has a 1-1.5 acre pond
It is 44 years old and has LMB and BG. There is an absence of smaller BG and a lot of LMB in the 12" size. I got my CNBG yesterday. Seems they could only come up with 400 instead of 1000. So I said yes bring 'em on. They are nice and big fish. many over 6". Daniel Davis, who bought them, said they were all jumbo but I saw some intermediates, even some minnows, and he said he gave some extra. He said these are the 105 lbs per 1000 size that they normally sell for 1.50 per fish. he also said their normal intermediates are 60lb per 1000. I hope I did the right thing with what I got.

What would you have done?

You did well, amigo, especially if the price was right. The prices you quote are right on for fish that size.
Intermediates in the load should be expected. Most likely, you got the "feed hogs" and Davis was grading the fish through mechanical graders...there are always a few smaller fish simply because we don't want to leave the fish in the grader or hand pick them. Reputable fish guys consider this "gratis".
The copper colors look profound.
I approve (if that matters)

Thanks Bob. It means a lot to me to hear your words and approval regarding my doings. I am a complete novice in this stuff, but smitten with it and PondBoss! So much rich generous help here.

Our pond had been neglected for several years and we hope to make it a fun fishing BG and LMB pond. The process is slow as you know. Since August we fertilized and got a mild bloom from crystal clear water, limed it, aerated it and began AM feeding.

Have been fishing out small LMB and so far have out about 8lbs. Goal is 40 lbs by spring - yeah right - angling help is hereby solicited in a FA filled BOW. My hope is that FA will subside soon in the cooler water.

Anyway if i cannot improve my pond significantly with this great PB forum and magazine,I aint payin' attention. Thanks.

By the way at 6:18 CST or so this morning, I could not hook up Alan's radio program. I hope it was recorded and we can go listen later.
